Word Documents
Create and edit polished Word documents — reports, letters, memos, and more.
Part of Anthropic skills ↗Word Documents is an official Anthropic skill for creating, reading, and editing .docx files. Ask for a report, letter, memo, or template and it produces a properly formatted Word document — headings, tables of contents, page numbers, letterheads — and it can also edit existing files, do find-and-replace, handle tracked changes, and swap images.
What it does
- Creates professional Word documents from a plain request — reports, letters, memos, templates.
- Formats headings, tables of contents, page numbers, and letterheads properly.
- Edits existing .docx files: find-and-replace, tracked changes, comments, and images.
- Extracts and reorganizes content from Word files.
What's in the download
- SKILL.md plus document-generation scripts and references.
How to install (2 minutes)
- 1Download the .zip and unzip it — you’ll get a folder called docx.
- 2In the Claude app: open Settings → Capabilities → Skills, choose Add / Upload, and select the folder (or the .zip).
- 3In Claude Code: drop the folder into your project’s .claude/skills/ directory, then type /skills to confirm it loaded.
- 4That’s it — the skill activates on its own when it fits what you’re doing.
