I Have ADHD
Claude replies action-first: next step on top, numbered, no tangents.
Part of i-have-adhd by @ayghri ↗I Have ADHD reshapes how Claude answers for a reader with ADHD — or anyone drowning in long replies. The first line is the thing to do next, multi-step work becomes numbered steps, tangents are held back, progress is restated every turn and time estimates are concrete. Turn it on with /i-have-adhd; it stays on until you say “stop adhd mode”.
What it does
- Leads every reply with the next action — a command, a file, a step you can do now.
- Turns multi-step work into short numbered steps, one action each.
- Holds back tangents, caps lists at five and drops the preamble and pleasantries.
- Restates where you are each turn and makes finished work visible.
When it kicks in
Shape output for a reader with ADHD: lead with the next action, number multi-step work, restate state across turns, suppress tangents, give specific time estimates, make wins visible. Invoke with /i-have-adhd; stays on until "stop adhd mode".

Same download for Claude Code, Claude app, Codex — follow the step for the tool you use.
- 1Download the .zip and unzip it — you’ll get a folder called i-have-adhd.
- 2In the Claude app: open Settings → Capabilities → Skills, choose Add / Upload, and select the folder (or the .zip).
- 3In Claude Code: drop the folder into your project’s .claude/skills/ directory, then type /skills to confirm it loaded.
- 4In Codex: drop the folder into ~/.agents/skills/ (or your project’s .agents/skills/), then type /skills — or call it directly with $i-have-adhd.
- 5This one is manual on purpose: type /i-have-adhd to turn it on, and “stop adhd mode” (or “normal mode”) to turn it off.
