Excel Spreadsheets
Build, clean, and edit Excel spreadsheets — formulas, charts, and messy-data fixes.
Part of Anthropic skills ↗Excel Spreadsheets is an official Anthropic skill for anything where a spreadsheet is the input or output. It creates new .xlsx files from scratch or from your data, edits existing ones — adding columns, computing formulas, formatting, charting — and cleans up messy tabular data (malformed rows, junk data) into a proper spreadsheet.
What it does
- Creates new spreadsheets from scratch or from your existing data.
- Adds columns, computes formulas, formats cells, and builds charts.
- Cleans messy tabular data — malformed rows, misplaced headers, junk — into a tidy sheet.
- Works with .xlsx, .xlsm, .csv, and .tsv files.
What's in the download
- SKILL.md plus spreadsheet scripts and references.
How to install (2 minutes)
- 1Download the .zip and unzip it — you’ll get a folder called xlsx.
- 2In the Claude app: open Settings → Capabilities → Skills, choose Add / Upload, and select the folder (or the .zip).
- 3In Claude Code: drop the folder into your project’s .claude/skills/ directory, then type /skills to confirm it loaded.
- 4That’s it — the skill activates on its own when it fits what you’re doing.
